Purpose of Scholarship
To assist a San Mateo County resident who is studying some aspect of Business Administration, Human Resources or some area of study that will ultimately provide the opportunity to make a contribution to our society. The scholarship is to be used to further the education of the recipient.
Criteria for Scholarship
- Write a brief letter of introduction (approximately 300-500 words) stating your financial needs as well as your career and personal goals. Your letter should demonstrate why you should be awarded this scholarship. Include your mailing address, a telephone number where you can be reached, and your email address.
- Provide 2-3 letters of recommendations from a school counselor or teacher, a community agency, an employer, etc.
- Demonstrate a desire to learn by providing a history of academic accomplishments, volunteer services, certificates of achievements, etc.
- Finalists will participate in a personal interview with the EAC Scholarship Committee, and the scholarship recipient must be present at the Awards Luncheon.
Who is Eligible
Any undergraduate student who is a San Mateo County resident enrolled or planning to enroll in: Adult School R.O.P., Community College, College or University, or a Vocational Training Program. Previous EAC San Mateo Scholarship recipients are not eligible.
Award Amount
One Scholarship - $1,000.00 - will be awarded.
